New candidate without experience
You must pass an exam that will test your knowledge. This exam is free.
The pass mark is 80%.
To be able to apply you must submit the following documents:
• Your attestation of college studies (AEC) for the training of building inspector from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
• Your curriculum vitae (CV).
Please. Send it to email@example.com
We will analyze your file.
If you meet the requirements, you will be invited to an interview with a member of the executive.
Following the results of your assessment, you will need to have hands-on experience in the field before you can become a certified inspector. You will need to accompany inspectors from InterNACHI Quebec AIIICQ for a minimum of ten (10) inspections. These inspections will have to be documented with the “Follow-up form of an accompanying candidate”. Accompanying costs vary between $50 and $95, per inspection, plus taxes (if applicable), depending on the inspectors you will follow. The payment will be payable to the inspector.
Once you have completed these inspections, you will need to return the completed tracking sheet. Evaluating this information will determine if you are moving to the next step or if you need to do other accompaniments.
At this point, you will be assigned a mentor to perform an inspection for him (he will be your client). This step costs $650.00. This amount must be paid to the Association. A report will be required from the candidate. The mentor will do the evaluation of the inspection and another senior inspector will evaluate your report. If you qualify, a recommendation will be made to the board of directors. If not, the admissions committee may require you to make other accompaniments or other recommendations.
Once your application is approved, you will need to pay the annual fee of $350.00
